The US-China trade war is hurting green exports, says Jim Chalmers

An economic split between the US and China under Donald Trump would undermine Labour’s plan to increase exports of green metals and hydrogen due to disruptions in global trade, according to Treasurer Jim Chalmers.

Australia is more exposed to a global trade war than other countries because trade accounts for about 50 percent of the Australian economy, while trade in goods and services accounts for about 25 percent of the US economy, he added.
