Become a trainer and motivated participant

While the people of Uckermark in many places are getting ready for the coming Advent season and the anticipation of the Christmas markets with fragrant mulled wine and roasted almonds is increasing, the organizers of the Prenzlau summer campaign “Fit in the Seepark” have taken stock and are already busy planning for the 2025 outdoor sports season.

Silke Liebher, Head of Economic Development and Tourism at the City of Prenzlau, is pleased that the family sports offering has become so well established. “The number of participants has so far been 30 to 50 people every Sunday. Sports fans of all ages take advantage of the entire range of different offers. In order to be able to offer interesting and varied sports next year, we are expanding the current eleven-person coaching team.”

No trainer license necessary

People who would like to bring others closer to their favorite sport at a moderate fitness level are invited. Encourage people to get involved and try things out and give a training session next to the sculptures on the lawn in the Seepark on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. “It is possible to take on a one-off event or, depending on how busy the trainer’s calendar is, also follow-up appointments,” explained Silke Liebher.

A trainer’s license is not mandatory. It’s really about the fun, the exercise in the fresh air and the guidance of visitors. The organizer knows from experience that a strong network has already been formed from the previous trainers. “There is a lot of benefit from our ‘Fit in the Seepark’ format; collaborations with other trainers are created and participants are made aware of their own courses or clubs.”

Awareness is increased

Although the events are offered free of charge from May to September, city employees know that participants are happy to give a voluntary donation at the end of each event. In addition, the future supporters of the sporting summer campaign will be included in the area of health tourism, thereby increasing awareness.

You have the opportunity to contact Silke Liebher until the end of November.
