Vienna (www.fondscheck.de) – JP Morgan Asset Management is expanding its European range of active ETFs with two products, the US versions of which are already bestsellers, according to the experts at “FONDS professional”.

The JP Morgan US Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF (JEPI) and the JP Morgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF (JEPQ) are listed on the German Stock Exchange in Frankfurt.

The US version of JEPI is currently the world’s largest active ETF with assets under management of $36.6 billion. According to JP Morgan AM, the US version of JEPQ is one of the fastest-growing active ETFs in the US, with $17.6 billion in assets.

The Equity Premium Active UCITS Series ETFs would aim to provide regular monthly income and appreciation potential while reducing volatility compared to traditional US equity investments. This would be achieved by combining active stock portfolios with index options.

JEPI’s stock portfolio invests in a broadly diversified manner in US large-cap stocks. The JEPQ stock portfolio invests in technology and growth-oriented stocks from the Nasdaq 100. Both ETFs would also use an overlay options strategy that would generate additional income that would be paid out monthly in addition to the dividends of the stocks held in the ETF. “These innovative strategies, which have proven to be best-sellers in the U.S., offer an attractive way to achieve income and return objectives with lower volatility,” said Travis Spence, global head of ETFs at JP Morgan AM.

Both ETFs had an expense ratio of 0.35 percent and were available in a distributing and accumulating share class: JP Morgan US Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF (distributing: IE000U5MJOZ6; accumulating: IE0000EAPBT6), JP Morgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income Active UCITS ETF (distributing : IE000U9J8HX9; accumulating: IE000N6I8IU2).
