Glarus Nord is the winner of the Cyclomania Challenge 2024

The winner of the Cyclomania Challenge 2024 in Glarus North was honored at a small ceremony. The main prize is an annual group fitness subscription.

Nadya Schnider is this year’s winner of the Cyclomania competition. Glarus Nord has taken part in the challenge for the fourth time. Since several participation requirements were met in the municipality of Glarus Nord and were eligible for victory, the draw ultimately had to decide the main prize. This year this field goes to Nadya Schnider, who lives in Mollis. You can look forward to the main prize, a voucher for an annual subscription to group fitness from the sponsor lintharena in Näfels. The main prize was presented by Mayor Fridolin Staub at a reception in the Niederurnen community center. Once again, many residents registered for the Cyclomania cycling campaign: 160 participants took part in the cycling challenge and won points and prizes. Together they cycled no less than 12,458 kilometers during the month of September. A total of 15,000 people took part in 32 regional and one Swiss-wide cycling challenge. The communities also compete against each other at Cyclomania. The three challenges with the most and most active participants will be honored. The city of Kreuzlingen won for the fourth time in a row in 2024. In second place are the city of Weinfelden and the municipality of Wohlen b. Bern. The municipality of Glarus Nord achieved 24th place in the competition this year. There is better confidence in the most kilometers per participant, where Glarus Nord was able to secure 5th place with an average of 78 kilometers per cyclist.
