The organizer of the Heide Park Festival has temporarily filed for bankruptcy. According to the responsible district court in Dortmund, preliminary insolvency proceedings were initiated against HighLight Production GmbH in mid-October. Visitors to the Heide Park Festival now have little chance of getting their money back, according to Markus Hagge, legal expert at the Lower Saxony Consumer Center. These visitors had hoped that they would be entitled to a partial refund of the ticket price. Because Heide Park was not open exclusively to festival visitors as announced. In addition, the advertised headliner “Chainsmokers” did not appear. With the event company going bankrupt, the visitors would now have to assert their claim in court, said Hagge. If the company can still be saved, the chances of a refund of the ticket price would increase again, said Hagge.
