The Brabus 1000 All Gray is a luxury car that sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds

There are obviously some incredibly literal people working in Brabus’s marketing department right now, because after the company took a Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance, gave it a load more power, and then grayed out every possible surface, the monochromatic creation was dubbed the Brabus “1000.” All Grey.”

Zero points for creativity on that front. However, the German tuning house didn’t just tinker with various computer settings to generate more power. Instead of Merc’s original 4.0-liter V8, the Brabus features a new 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 designed specifically for use with the S 63’s plug-in hybrid system.

The result is a combined output of 986 hp and a torque of 1,620 Nm, enabling the sedan, which weighs over two and a half tons, to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. It reaches 124 mph in 9.7 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 180 mph.

The 1000 All Gray also features a stainless steel exhaust system, 4Matic+ all-wheel drive and can travel around 20 miles on pure electric power, although this third feature probably won’t matter too much to potential buyers of this particular model.

According to Brabus, the designers developed a carbon fiber body kit for this car that gives the tuning house’s signature look, generates more downforce and better controls airflow in some components.

Not to be missed are the 22-inch monoblock wheels, which are – no surprise – also gray, but the titanium/carbon exhaust tips glow red to at least add a little color. Finally, the new suspension system lowers the vehicle’s ride height by up to 10 mm.

The interior is, you guessed it, all gray as well, but there’s some carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, center console and steering wheel to break up the desaturated color scheme. The pedals and paddle shifters are also made of carbon fiber, while the upholstery is made of quilted gray leather that matches the exterior color.

The Brabus 1000 All Gray in this picture costs more than £390,000 excluding taxes – more than double the price of the AMG S 63 E Performance on which it is based.

By the way, if your name isn’t Christian Grey, the new Brabus 1000 Bichromatic gets the same powerful powertrain as well as black and gray paint and interior.
