Strictly star praises ‘wonderful couple’, BBC show’s ‘winner’ announced | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Dan Walker shone on Strictly Come Dancing with his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova in 2021 – and he’s still watching the show three years later.

Dan took to X to passionately defend his favorite duo, exclaiming: “There are some great couples on #Strictly this year but Chris and Dianne just have to win. They are wonderful to look at.”

Chris McCausland is letting fans open up about mastering dance routines despite his blindness. However, BBC fans have bemoaned his “frustratingly” low results following last weekend’s appearance with Australian professional player Dianne Buswell.

Fans rushed to defend her on X as one brutally argued: “The best dancer should win a dance competition. That’s not him.”

A second responded to Dan’s claim that they will be crowned winners this year, saying: “No, it’s a dance competition. Although Chris is great, he does amazingly well, but how can his achievements be fairly weighed against the capable dancers?”

However, another praised his determination to master the moves at all costs, exclaiming: “It would be a good idea if every participant did a dance blindfolded so they could see how difficult it is.”

Another agreed: “He may not dance as well as others, but the way he manages to learn and execute the routines is mind-blowing. Dianne is one hell of a teacher.”

“You are my winners! “Chris is conquering something that is impossible even for some of those who can see it,” agreed a third.

Someone else wrote: “As a disabled person myself, I so admire Chris’ drive and determination to never give up, but not only that, but Dianne’s patience and humility to focus on Chris’s strengths and not them Inability to see the beautiful.” Routines he does on the dance floor xx.”

While others described them as “phenomenal” and argued that it was a “foregone conclusion” that they would win the Glitterball trophy this time, another X user analyzed things in moderation.

“It’s certainly the greatest creative achievement the show has ever had and may never be equaled, but it’s perhaps fair that the most talented couple wins,” they suggested.

“Nevertheless, they deserve a place in the final and then the audience – who regularly decide with their hearts – will be the deciding factor.”

The Strictly action returns to the country’s TV screens this Saturday evening on BBC One.
