Citizen’s benefit recipient is short of money – her latest purchase is astonishing

Despite tight cash and financial worries, citizen’s benefit recipient Sandra from Rostock is causing a stir: she has bought a used caravan! In the RTL2 program “Hartz und cordial” Sandra gave insights into her latest pride – and not only surprised her family.

Always looking for more independence, Sandra has long dreamed of owning her own house. But the banks thwart her and her husband Tino’s plans. The solution? A caravan as an alternative to your own four walls.

Citizens’ money: new life on four wheels

Deciding quickly and without much viewing, they bought the 44-year-old camper online for an impressive “2,000 euros” – and without seeing it in person first! But they are sure: “It makes us proud that we are not dependent on an apartment, we can sleep in there.” The first impression of the caravan is modest: from the outside it looks a bit run down, and inside the furnishings are sparse.

Nevertheless, Sandra and her family are thrilled. The parents sleep on an air mattress in a few square meters, while the children share the remaining beds. Even if the makeshift bathroom is only separated by a curtain and lacks storage space, you feel free and independent. On the day of purchase, the family spends the first night in the caravan.

Despite the lack of accessories such as power cables and the challenges of maneuvering and parking, the mood remains optimistic. “This is all new territory!” says Sandra, commenting on her first experiences with the new vehicle.

The new episodes of “Hartz und Herzlich” from Rostock run on RTL2’s TV program during the week from 6:05 p.m. The show will later also be available in the media library on RTL+.
