VINCI receives a contract to design and build a new waste incineration plant in Correze

Design and construction of a new plant to convert household waste into energy (79,000 tons per year)
51 months of work with 200 direct jobs at the peak of activity
Contract value over 100 million euros

VINCI Construction, through its subsidiaries VINCI Construction Grands Projets (main contractor), GTM Sud-Ouest TP GC and Chantiers Modernes Nouvelle-Aquitaine, has been awarded the contract by Veolia to design and build a new plant to convert household waste into energy.

The waste incineration plant, located near Brive-la-Gaillarde, will replace the existing plant. It will have a treatment capacity of almost 10 tonnes per hour (79,000 tonnes per year), equivalent to the annual waste produced by 200,000 residents.

This project, valued at over 100 million euros and employing almost 200 people at its peak, will improve the environmental efficiency of the plant through the installation of latest generation processing systems, in particular for the treatment of flue gases. The electricity and heat generated are used by local industrial and community facilities.

VINCI Construction companies have in-depth expertise in waste processing and waste-to-energy systems. In France, they carry out in particular the construction or modernization of waste incineration plants in Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, Nice and Ivry-sur-Seine.
