Elon Musk, Trump’s deregulation hype man

Elon Musk’s role in the new Trump administration has not been announced, but the billionaire CEO of Tesla is already sharing some of his enthusiasm for the new president and his desires for deregulation on social media.

Musk, who owns the social media platform X, regularly posts about politics, deregulation and new staffers in the Trump administration. The prominent Trump ally appears poised to play a major role in advising the new administration, and some social media posts suggest he is spending time at Mar-a-Lago to support President-elect Donald Trump to advise during the early transition.

His public posts suggest how he might try to influence Trump’s policies.
