“Tennessee Volunteers football commit Lagonza Hayward denies rumors to turn them around.”

Lagonza “Shaedy” Hayward shuts down flip rumors despite strong push from Georgia Bulldogs.

Tennessee has done well on the recruiting scene in recent years. They attract tons of talented recruits, but what’s most fascinating is the fact that they hardly ever have any layoffs or transfers.

They had a turnaround when Douglas Utu flipped his Vols commitment and joined his high school teammate at Oregon. They also only had one decommitment, as Shamar Arnoux decommitted from the Vols earlier this year.

Tennessee suffered some shocks because Lagonza Hayward, one of its best players, was actively recruited by the Georgia Bulldogs. “Shaedy” Hayward took to social media to put an end to these rumors when he confirmed “I’M NOT FLIPPING” on X on Wednesday.

Hayward is a four-star prospect out of Toombs High School in Lyons, Georgia. He ranks 4th among players at his position and 76th overall. Hayward will likely be a player to see early on in Tennessee.

Signing Day is in December and the Vols will continue to recruit their commitments until they make it to campus. They will also look to do what Georgia does as they hope to turn over some goals.
