In “The Family Plan,” a mix of “John Wick” and “The Shrill Four on the Move,” Mark Wahlberg (“Lone Survivor”) embodied the at first glance inconspicuous family man Dan Morgan. In reality, this was an elite killer in the service of the US government who had to face his past again during a road trip to Las Vegas.

Even though the reviews for the 2023 action comedy were rather mediocre, “The Family Plan” became a big hit on AppleTV+. A sequel was confirmed at the end of October this year – of course again with Mark Wahlberg in charge. In part 2, Dan goes to Europe with his loved ones, where they want to celebrate Christmas in a very contemplative way. But even on the other side of the globe, Dan’s past is once again catching up with him. As with Part 1, Simon Cellan Jones is responsible for the production.
