The opinion research institute YouGov and the Handelsblatt present the ranking of the brands of the year 2024. It is worth taking a look at the companies with administrative or production headquarters in Hesse.

Frankfurt/Rhine-Main – The basis for the creation of the “Brands of the Year” 2024 ranking is data provided by the YouGov Brand Index for Germany. In collaboration with the Handelsblatt The opinion research institute has honored the brands that enjoy the highest recognition among consumers in Germany.

The “Brands of the Year” ranking based on the index score determined in the Brand Index was now stated in the evaluation. The YouGov Brand Index records consumers’ opinions on 16 different metrics for more than 1,600 brands that are present on the German market on a daily and methodically consistent basis. The index score is calculated from the average values ​​of six of the measured metrics – quality, value for money, overall impression, willingness to recommend, employer image and customer satisfaction – and serves as an indicator of a brand’s image.

The score can take values ​​between -100 and +100, where -100 means a completely negative perception of the brand on all metrics and +100 means a completely positive perception on all metrics. The brand index enables an analysis of brand perception within various target groups, for example within the general population, among connoisseurs and customers of a brand or individual target group segments.

To create the rankings, YouGov conducted representative online interviews with the German population aged 18 and over as part of the daily Brand Index brand performance measurement in the period from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024. Only brands that were tracked throughout the study period were eligible for the rankings. Of the approximately 1,600 brands rated in the YouGov Brand Index, 1,072 brands across 33 categories were accepted for the ranking.
