Former Alabama LB defends itself against payment allegations

Former Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland had to defend himself against allegations that he was paid while playing football at the University of Alabama.

Ragland played at Alabama from 2012 to 2015 and won two national championships with the Crimson Tide.

An X account published a post directed at Ragland on Wednesday in which he accused Alabama of paying players.

“Bama players have been paid well for decades. Don’t be greedy,” the post reads.

The former Tide linebacker was clear in his response.

“I didn’t get paid,” Ragland posted in response.

The new NIL rules are making former college athletes think about the money they missed out on, and Ragland is one of those players.
