ODM MP and National Deputy Chairman arrested by detectives in Eldoret

Uasin Gishu The ODM party claims its national chairman is being arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Eldoret.

The party sent a tweet informing the public that John Ariko, who represents Turkana South constituency in the National Assembly, was arrested without giving any reason.

It asked Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to look into the arrest.

“DCI officers in Eldoret this evening arrested Turkana South MP John Ariko, our National Deputy Chairman, without any explanation. He is detained at the central police station in Eldoret city. We demand an explanation from the police IG regarding this incident.”
