Fitness experts from Norway have developed a simple exercise for this purpose. Ready? First, you cross your arms in front of you while standing. Then you go down on your knees and from there into the seat – in other words: do you have to stretch your legs forward? And? Does it work? Then you should come from the sitting position from the floor to the cross-legged position, first to your knees and then back to standing. Of course, everything without using your hands to help. These two gentlemen also show that it can be done! “Voilà!” Be honest, did you do it? According to experts, people who fail the exercise are seven times more likely to die within the next six years. On the other hand, those who can manage them easily have good cardiovascular health, balance, flexibility and strong core and leg muscles. All factors that protect against an early death. Of course, it is questionable whether one can really predict the risk of death with such an exercise – especially since many factors such as back pain were not taken into account.
