They say this could lead to major flooding of low lying areas, drainage areas, properties, small streams, Irish crossings and businesses.

This may result in flooding on major roads, causing significant disruption to traffic flow, essential services and electricity supplies.

The weather bureau reports the displacement of communities near streams and river banks due to flooding and the risk of landslides.

They report severe flooding in areas downstream of major rivers and coastal areas, particularly during high tide.
