Weather report: Shropshire’s answer to gorillas in the fog as fog descends across the county

The spooky image of three woolly wonders emerging from the Christmas gloom was captured by wandering amateur photographer Peter Steggles.

The scene photographed in Rushbury, Shropshire on Friday will be repeated over the next few days.

Met Office weather experts say it will be cloudy and mild for the time of year.

The weather for the rest of Friday will be mostly cloudy, with fog and patches of mist persisting in places throughout England and Wales.

Dense clouds will persist across much of the UK tonight, with fog and fog remaining in England and Wales.

There will be patchy rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland, but drier conditions in the far northwest.

Tomorrow will start cloudy and hazy across England and Wales, with rain in the north-west slowly clearing towards the south-east through Saturday, followed by sunny spells and stormy showers.
