MAGA is in turmoil after President Musk called the lack of “outstanding engineering talent” a “fundamental limiting factor in Silicon Valley” in a tweet Wednesday. He argued that immigrant workers were an essential part of American innovation and warned of a “catastrophic shortage of extremely talented and motivated engineers in America.” About the salon:

“If you force the best talent in the world to play for the other team, America will LOSE. End of story,” Musk responded to the critics.

Critics applauded the Great White Whale on its X platform:

3. They are easier to exploit (less likely).

The only reason tech companies are hiring en masse from Asian countries is because software engineers here earn a fraction of what American tech people get, and that explains purchasing power parity. We are cheap labor.

Expanding the H-1B visa program and/or lifting country restrictions is a terrible idea.

Frankly, the entire program should be suspended and discontinued.

Frankly, the entire program should be suspended and discontinued.

Nothing more than a tool for Silicon Valley tech companies to undermine American workers by importing cheap foreign labor.

Never doubt that the main purpose of H1B visas is to replace US-born technicians with cheap foreign workers. Anyone who tells you otherwise, including St. Elon, is ignorant or lying.

2. Before that happens, he will ensure that foreign workers are hired instead of Americans so that they can work longer and cheaper

3. When AI replaces jobs en masse and Americans complain, foreign workers will be blamed and deported to appease the unemployed, but by then it will be too late

4. Everyone loses except the tech oligarchs, who will control the coming superintelligence that will power most industries, ensuring their control of the economy

5. Then they will use your unemployment to introduce UBI as a “solution” to your economic problems, thereby stripping you of your independence and humanity.

Elon Musk’s vision is dystopian.
