Best Buddies fundraiser to support disability inclusion in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Kiantis Gallion, a 24-year-old motivational speaker and autism advocate, joined us Friday, Dec. 27, to talk about his journey as a Best Buddies Ambassador for Wisconsin and the organization’s ongoing programs .

He was joined by Justin Stipan, vice president of the Wisconsin Best Buddies Advisory Board.

Gallion shared his experiences with an intellectual disability and how these shaped his involvement with Best Buddies International. The nonprofit organization supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through friendship, employment and leadership programs.

The Best Buddies State Showdown fundraiser, running through Tuesday, December 31, aims to raise money to expand services for individuals with IDD. Donations can be made online. Further information can be found here.
