Presenter Judith Rakers led the TV viewers through the “Tagesschau”. But that wasn’t her first stop.

Dortmund – “Tagesschau” speakers often achieve cult status in this country. Presenter Susanne Daubner, for example, is celebrated by fans for her strange comeback. Judith Rakers is no less well known. The Paderborn native is always present in the media.

Rakers moderated the “Tagesschau” from 2005 to 2024, where the speakers’ salaries were recently revealed. The TV expert ended her engagement on ARD at the end of January 2024. And now? Rakers can currently be seen on television or heard on the radio.

Since 2001, Rakers has been an integral part of the documentary series “Die Reportage” on NDR. She has always presented German islands in the “Island Reportages with Judith Rakers” series. The Paderborn native is involved in several projects. In addition to the “Island Reports with Judith Rakers” at NDR, she also works at Radio Bremen (“3 nach 9”) and at WDR (“Wunderschön”).

Judith Rakers promotes home farming on Instagram

Rakers is also active on social media. She lets her fans share her private life via Instagram – keyword home farming. She shows how to successfully grow your own fruit and vegetables and run your own farm. Rakers isn’t above getting her hands dirty.

But her varied career was preceded by an engagement at the “Hamburg Journal” on NDR. From 2004 to 2010 she hosted the local magazine and reported on the people in the north, what is important in their city and surrounding areas. Even back then, she impressed people with her professional appearance. A photo from 2005 shows her with long hair:

In addition to television appearances and social media presence, Rakers is also an author. In addition to two books on the subject of home farming, they published the children’s book “Judith’s Little Farm” in 2024 (read more TV news at RUHR24).
