LIDL Ireland fans are rushing to buy breathable center aisle paint – and it’s helping prevent mold in bathrooms.

The description on the Lidl website says: “2.5L is enough for approx. 17m² (with a single coat, depending on the surface)”.

The bargain price comes from the popular paint brand Parkside and is available in white.

And at Bargain Supermarket the sealant and repair range is on sale today for just €3.99.

THE HISTORY OF LIDL IN IRELAND

LIDL first opened in Germany in 1973.

At that time, the company only had three employees and had 500 product lines.

The first Irish store opened in 1999 on Molesworth Street in Dublin.

This was Lidl’s first entry into the Irish grocery market.

In 2000, Lidl opened additional stores in Limerick, Letterkenny, Mullingar, Athlone, Cavan, Ballinasloe and Portlaoise.

The retailer now has 180 stores and three distribution centers and employs over 6,000 people.

They work with a network of more than 260 Irish suppliers from the communities in which they operate.
