Two teenagers punched each other before a spectator came onto the pitch to watch the fight.

The gunman then raised an automatic pistol and fired point-blank at one of the players at the center of the fight.

Players and spectators ran for their lives after the shot was fired in front of a large crowd.

A teenager in a red shirt who was in the middle of the altercation clutched his arm as if he had been wounded.

His two teammates helped him from the field and his batting opponent ran away before the video later went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the gunman, who had to be held back by a young woman, waved his weapon in the air and pointed in the opposite direction.

It’s unclear whether the shooting was triggered accidentally by the violence on the field or whether the shooter was targeting a specific player.

The owner of the club’s ground later told local media: “Both teams use the ground regularly.”

“But I’ve never seen the man with the gun before. We’ll get over it.”

According to NewsX, police are investigating the shooting.

Hibs is the star of the X-rated clash with rivals Hearts

Last month, the leader of a notorious group of soccer hooligans in Argentina was shot dead near his club’s stadium in Rosario.

Andres Bracamonte was the leader of the Rosario Central supporters’ gang for more than 20 years and had taken part in violent clashes with rival hooligans in the past.

He and his deputy, Daniel “Rana” Atardo, were just four blocks from Gigante de Arroyito Stadium when they were shot by a motorcyclist on Saturday.

Rosario Central had just played a league game, but Bracamonte was not present.

He had been banned from matches due to previous incidents and was accused of extortion by Argentine authorities.
