Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Crossover with Squid Game starts in early January

The first crossover event will take place soon in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”. To achieve this, the makers are cooperating with the successful Netflix series “Squid Game”. A new trailer now confirms the start date and shows the content.

Activision had already announced at the beginning of the month that in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 A first crossover event will take place soon. For the cooperation, those responsible have teamed up with Netflix and are devoting themselves to the streaming provider’s most successful series: “Squid Game”. In keeping with this, the second season of the award-winning series phenomenon has been available since yesterday.

And players won’t have to wait much longer until the “Squid Game” event starts in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”. In a newly released trailer, Activision confirmed the start date of the crossover and provided a first look at the upcoming content.

Black Ops 6 X Squid Game

Accordingly, the “Squid Game” crossover will be available in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” from January 3, 2025. Players can look forward to new operator skins, weapon blueprints, and limited-time game modes, all inspired by the hit Netflix series. The trailer shows the iconic pink suits from “Squid Game”, the green outfits of the participants and also well-known characters such as the Front Man.

Also seen in the video is the doll from the “Squid Game” game “Red Light, Green Light,” which will most likely also be included as a mode in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.” Since Activision spoke of a variety of modes in its announcement, the crossover event will probably bring additional game variants that will provide more variety in the multiplayer part of the shooter.

Double experience points until December 30th

The first season of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” is currently taking place under the title “Reloaded”, which is expected to last until January 28, 2025. In addition, all players will currently receive double the amount of experience points as part of a “Double XP” event until December 30, 2024. The shooter itself has been available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC since the end of October 2024.
