Call of Duty: World at War and Singularity could come to Xbox Game Pass in 2025

Two more classics could soon be available on Xbox Game Pass. According to a leak, Call of Duty: World at War and Singularity will become part of Microsoft’s popular subscription service from May 2025. Both shooters could further strengthen the already diverse offering in Game Pass.

Two shooter classics could come to Game Pass

The leak comes from eXputer author eXtas1s, who is known for his predictions about Game Pass titles. Call of Duty: World at War, developed by Treyarch and originally released in 2008, introduced the popular zombie co-op component to the Call of Duty series. Singularity, on the other hand, is a shooter from Raven Software from 2010. Both games could particularly appeal to old fans of the shooter genre while introducing them to a new audience.

Microsoft is focused on growth

The background to these additions is Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October 2023. The purchase for $69 billion enabled Microsoft to integrate many well-known titles into the Game Pass offering. Games like Diablo 4, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and various Call of Duty spin-offs are already available. The inclusion of more classics like World at War and Singularity shows Microsoft’s goal to make Game Pass a must-have for gaming fans and also make older titles accessible to a new audience.

In addition, Microsoft wants to expand the functionality of its subscription services. Game Pass Ultimate users have recently been able to play some separately purchased games via cloud streaming on PCs, smartphones and tablets. This function should also be available on consoles from 2025.

If the rumors are true, shooter fans can expect a little history lesson in May 2025. With World at War and Singularity come two classics that could further increase the appeal of Game Pass.
