With “Squid Game: Unleashed,” Netflix tried to translate the success of its hit series into gaming format. The game relies on well-known battle royale elements and lets up to 32 players compete against each other in various challenges. Fans of the series will recognize well-known games such as “Red Light, Green Light” or the Glass Steps, supplemented by new tasks inspired by children’s games.

The gameplay is designed for quick rounds in which tactical decisions are required. Weapons and power-ups can be used to gain an advantage. If you fail, you can stay in spectator mode and continue watching the game. Progression such as completing missions and collecting virtual rewards allows you to climb to higher ranks and unlock new content. Individual customization of the character with skins and animations completes the gaming experience.

The app currently does not require a Netflix subscription, which makes access easier.
