The Reds star is ready to leave Anfield amid concrete interest from Newcastle

Liverpool are willing to sell Caoimhin Kelleher for the right price next summer and Newcastle are keeping an eye on the situation, although Alisson’s future could influence things.

Alisson remains Arne Slot’s undisputed No. 1. 1 between the posts and the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili at Liverpool next season will further complicate Kelleher’s situation.

Liverpool have already agreed a transfer fee of £25 million for Mamardashvili and the 24-year-old is set to join the Reds next season. Sources say that Slot’s team has no plans to loan him out but will try to integrate him into the team immediately.

This will have implications for Kelleher as Liverpool see Mamardashvili as their No. 1 of the future. 1, so Kelleher will fall down the pecking order if he stays.

Liverpool have already accepted that Alisson and Mamardashvili will compete for a place in the starting XI next season and they are happy with that situation. The Valencia star is aware that he will find it difficult to replace Alisson in the team and is up for the challenge.

It is assumed that Alisson is calm about Marmardashvili’s arrival and even welcomes her. He is only 32 years old and there is a lot of interest in him, particularly from Saudi Arabia, but Allison is not a player Liverpool would want to leave or consider as a ‘number two’ from next season just because Marmardashvili is arriving. The latter is part of Liverpool’s consistent strategy of signing stars for both the present and the future, while keeping an established player in that position at the club. The situation is similar with Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah: the club wants both to remain active while it looks for long-term heirs.

Of course, where Allison will leave this summer, Kelleher could see things differently at Anfield. But Liverpool plan to only lose one goalkeeper in 2025.

Newcastle are very interested in Kelleher

After Kelleher’s impressive form for Liverpool while Alisson was out injured, he is confident he is capable of a win. 1 spot for a top team And sources have revealed to TEAMtalk that Kelleher was always considering a move away from Anfield, even if the Reds hadn’t signed Mamardashvili.

Chelsea have never considered Kelleher despite connections and are not actively looking for a new goalkeeper in 2025.

Newcastle, on the other hand, are real admirers of Kelleher and a club to keep an eye on in the race to sign him. Nick Pope, 32, has struggled with injuries and Eddie Howe wants a younger option to compete with him or replace him.

The Magpies are also big fans of Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford. It’s likely Newcastle will lose two goalkeepers and sign a new one in 2025, and both Trafford and Kelleher are on their radar.

We expect Fiorentina, like Leeds’ Illan Meslier, to keep a close eye on Kelleher’s situation. This is simply due to David de Gea’s age, although there is an option to extend his current contract until 2026.

Liverpool don’t want to lose Kelleher and Alisson. At this point, the Irishman is more likely to leave in 2025 than the Brazilian.
