Even the best fantasy managers can be bothered by starting sit questions. Here is a traffic light report to help you prepare for championship week.

✅ Green light

Everything has played out perfectly for Goff’s fantasy value in recent weeks – Detroit’s defense has fallen apart and the offense no longer has a David Montgomery to gobble up touchdowns and touchdowns. Goff’s stats over the last three weeks are almost too good to be true: 11 touchdown passes, 1,113 passing yards, 132 attempts. When the Lions and Niners play on Monday, it’s likely there will be a score on pinball. So have your popcorn ready.

Mason Rudolph has been a target eater since taking over, with 17 catches and 21 targets in the last two weeks. The Jaguars don’t defend much, including tight end; They are the seventh-best matchup for the position. Sometimes it takes a while for tight ends to figure things out; That’s what Okonkwo appears to be doing at the end of his third season.

He’s the second-best receiving option for an offense we trust, and this game has a juicy overall score of 48.5. McMillan scored four touchdowns in his last three games and narrowly missed a long score at the end of the loss to Dallas. Baker Mayfield will ensure that the rookie gets several chances when offside.

If you missed your fantasy playoffs, Samuel may have been the main reason why – he did little for two months in the middle of the year. But Samuel was back in business last week in Miami (12 touches, 121 scrimmage yards, touchdown) and the Detroit defense is the league’s most injury-plagued unit. Points are collected here and Samuel is also needed as a substitute runner.

The reboot from Aaron Rodgers to Adams has taken some time, but here we are – Adams has double-digit targets in 6 of 7 games and five touchdowns in his last four starts. You can understand why Garrett Wilson is considering a trade — Adams basically got him out of the way. Buffalo’s slot coverage has been an issue all season, and this is where Adams does his best.

Obviously, Justin Jefferson is the alpha in this receiving room, but make room for Addison too – he’s the WR6 in PPR scoring with half a point in the last six weeks. With Sam Darnold in great form and head coach Kevin O’Connell making big plays, Addison is ensuring a confident start against everyone. Green Bay’s pass defense was excellent, but the offense controlled the outcome more than the defense. I’m not putting Addison anywhere.

Another Dorian Thompson-Robinson start is a loss for the Cleveland passing game (can’t start Jerry Jeudy), but DTR’s woes didn’t hold Ford back last week – Ford still managed 131 total yards and a touchdown against Cincinnati. Look for 15 to 20 Ford touches regardless of the script against Miami. He is a capable runner and receiver.

He’ll likely have to share with Tony Pollard again, but Spears is earning a spot at the goal line and has scored four touchdowns in the last two weeks. He also had double-digit touches in both games, which is often the tipping point at which a bench player becomes a viable flex option.

He has added a running component to his game of late, with touchdowns in two straight starts and 68 yards in the upset win that ended Arizona’s season. The Buccaneers are also No. 3 in the matchup for opposing quarterbacks. Young’s lackluster career thus far prevented him from being included in the green section, but he is a viable streamer for those in deeper pools or two-quarterback leagues.

I understand that it’s difficult to trust the Raiders’ offense from week to week, but Abdullah has mastered the pass-catching role and he was surprisingly handy as a spot runner against Jacksonville. And you definitely want to start at running back against a New Orleans team that has fallen apart in recent weeks.

He was in the 18-20 range in four of his last five starts, showing star quality despite being surrounded by run-of-the-mill talent. Maye’s athleticism and resourceful running give him a sophisticated backboard, similar to what we saw from Bo Nix earlier this year. Imagine what Maye can accomplish in future seasons if the Patriots fix the offensive line and sign at least one downfield playmaker. I’m not afraid to use him against the Chargers if necessary.

🛑 Red light

Understand that Minnesota’s secondary is vulnerable – the Vikings love to apply blitz pressure but often allow big plays downfield. But the Packers have redefined themselves since the bye week, going 5-1 and throwing just 143 passes in that span (23.8 per week). Love offers little as a rusher and his passing volume could have a reasonable ceiling unless the Vikings gain a significant lead early. I’d rather bet on someone with a more plausible ceiling.

It was fun to see Murray bounce back last week after several weeks of limited yardage, but remember, the Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention after losing that game to Carolina. Murray also works behind a patchwork offensive line that doesn’t have any of its starting tackles. With nothing to play for and key teammates missing, I don’t want Murray in my championship lineup.

The usage here makes no sense – Cooper scored 14 in the pinball game against the Rams in Week 14, but he’s only gotten two looks (and one fumbled catch) since then. The Bills prefer a rotation with their receiver room, and if you need to rely on one of their pass catchers, Khalil Shakir is the answer. I would have no problem dropping Cooper in any format, even if my opponent had a chance to add him before Sunday.

New England’s offensive line can’t be trusted and Stevenson will have to share the workload with Antonio Gibson – not to mention the 20 to 40 yards that Drake Maye will likely run for. Stevenson has only been the RB31 since Week 10 – not an automatic fantasy starter. He also had a persistent fumbling problem.

It’s not a death knell when two defenders share the work of an attack, but when you see three, it’s time to escape. Jaleel McLaughlin (quad) is expected to be back this week, meaning Sean Payton has three cards in play with his running back rotation. Cincinnati is a good addition, but there’s no pattern of usage here.

He had a reasonable performance last week after catching 11 in Week 15, but a drop and a fumble led to him being benched in the fourth quarter, and he’s not 100% healthy either. The electrifying Brian Thomas Jr. is the obvious target in this offense; If I had to look deeper, I would choose WR Parker Washington over Strange.
