The Blue Devils’ official social media account publicly welcomed the successful 2015 national champion late Thursday evening with the following post:

And on Friday night, Duke Basketball delivered the 28-year-old Winslow’s “words of wisdom” to No. 4 Jon Scheyers of the Blue Devils (10-2, 2-0 ACC) from the powerhouse program’s practice courts at The K Center:

“My advice to these guys this year as they try to get the sixth banner would be to just look in the mirror yourself and ask yourself how important it really is,” Winslow notes in the video. “You know, the details, the little things, the winning plays. How much are you really willing to sacrifice? And putting pressure on yourself and your teammates by holding them accountable.”

“So if it means a lot to you, if it’s something that you really want to strive for, then you know that you’re going to hold yourself to those standards and you’re going to hold your teammates to those standards.”

Winslow, currently on the Wisconsin Herd roster of the G League but out of action since early November, averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1 as a starter in every Blue Devils game in 2014-15. 3 steals 35-4 record en route to becoming the fifth and youngest Duke basketball national champion.
