Jaylen Brown makes a bold statement after a comfortable win over the Pacers

The Boston Celtics played one of their best games of the season on Friday night. They dismantled the Indiana Pacers 142-105. It was a game that was never close. They shot 51 percent from the field and narrowly ran away from the Pacers after Indiana was eliminated on the second night of a back-to-back game.

One of the main reasons the Celtics were able to win the game is Jaylen Brown. He scored a career-high 44 points on 16:24 shooting. He also made six of his 11 3-point attempts. There was no one on the Pacers who could defend him.

Brown was also the player who bested the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals a year ago. That’s why he was named MVP of the Eastern Conference Finals. This sparked a huge debate about whether or not he was a better player than Jayson Tatum on the Celtics.

After the game against the Pacers, Brown wanted to point out how well he played defense, not how well he scored. He believes he is one of the better defenders in the league and he deserves credit for that. Brown commented on this immediately after his career-high scoring outburst.

“People don’t pay enough attention to it,” Brown said of the general underestimation of the defense. “But I feel like I’m one of the best two-way players in the world. I try to give my hat to this site by completing various tasks such as: E.g. taking guys off the field, running guys off screens or switching to big players. That takes a lot of energy.”

While Brown is praised as a good scorer and showed that against the Pacers, he feels he should be given more credit for being able to defend at an elite level. He wants to be known as one of the best two-way players in the NBA, not just an offensive force.

When Brown first came into the league, he made a lasting impression. He was a solid defender who received his minutes as a fullback due to his length. Because of this length, Brown typically defends the opposing team’s best player.

The Celtics play another game against the Pacers on Sunday night. You should expect Indiana to play a much tougher game than they were able to muster during the short break on Friday.
