Activision introduces the second Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Activision has announced the launch of a second Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The new pass complements the game’s existing monetization methods and will be launched as part of a special “Squid Game Premium Event Pass”. This innovation was discussed both by the gaming community and in social media controversies.

Black Ops 6 – A record game

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, set during Operation Desert Storm, has the largest sales figures in the history of the Call of Duty series with its release.

The mix of an exciting campaign and an acclaimed multiplayer mode has made the game a success worldwide. But despite this success, Activision is expanding the game’s monetization structure through the new Event Pass.

Squid Game Event Pass Details

The new Event Pass brings content inspired by the popular Squid Game series to the game. Players can participate in themed events that include specially designed game modes such as Red Light, Green Light.

Additionally, the new Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers exclusive rewards, including the Front Man Operator and other cosmetic items. While some content is available for free, the Premium path provides access to additional rewards that cannot be unlocked otherwise.

Activision explained that the goal of the new pass is to give players additional opportunities for personalization and participation in themed events.

Activision also emphasized that the new Battle Pass is part of a long-term plan to add creative content to the game and further appeal to the player base.

At the same time, it has been ensured that all new events and content will continue to offer a mix of free and paid options.

The community’s reactions

The announcement of a Battle Pass was received differently. Many players are critical and question the need for another paid system, especially in a game that already offers numerous monetization options such as the regular Battle Pass, premium content and bundles.

Some players worry that the growing number of paid options could impact the game’s accessibility. However, others see the introduction of the second pass as an opportunity to expand the gaming experience with new content.
