Armed with a knife: Robbery at a gas station in Bad Rappenau

A man attacked a gas station in Bad Rappenau with a knife on Saturday. It is still unclear whether there is a connection to three other recent robberies.

The unknown perpetrator is said to have entered the gas station in Bad Rappenau (Heilbronn district) on Saturday evening shortly before nine o’clock. Armed with a knife, he demanded money from the employee and was then able to escape undetected with over 2,000 euros in loot. So far the search has been unsuccessful, according to the police. It is the fourth robbery within a week in the Heilbronn district.

Fourth robbery in a short time

Just the weekend before there had been three robberies: once at a gas station in Nordheim, a second at a drinks market in Güglingen (both in the Heilbronn district). There was also a third attack, again in Nordheim, this time on a pharmacy. In the last case, the perpetrator had to flee without taking anything because a guard dog was on the scene.

The police believe that the first three robberies could have been committed by the same perpetrator. Now, as part of the investigation, I am being checked to see whether there is a connection to the attack in Bad Rappenau, SWR asked.
