Photos and pictures of the biathlon at Schalke 2024

Christmas is just over and traditionally follows the “Biathlon at Schalke“. The photographers from our photo agency were there and brought great impressions with them. The event is already a good tradition and has now taken place for the 21st time. In addition to the main competition of the Biathlon World Team Challenge, a young talent competition, the “Team Talent Challenge”, was also held.

A total of 50,000 spectators came to the Veltins Arena on Schalke in Gelsenkirchen and were rewarded with great biathlon competitions and podium places for the German teams. At the Talent Team Challenge 2024 The team from Norway with Guro Femsteinevik and Sivert Silsand Gerhardsen won ahead of Wilma Anhaus and Thomas Marchl as well as Charlotte Gallbronner and Linus Kesper

Die World Team Challenge 2024 was top-class with a total of ten teams:
Anna Weidel and Justus Strelow (Germany), Franziska Preuß and Philipp Nawrath (Germany), Julia Simon and Fabien Claude (France), Anna Magnusson and Jesper Nelin (Sweden), Karoline Offigstadt Knotten and Sturla Holm Laegreid (Norway), Markéta Davidová and Michal Krčmář (Czech Republic), Juliya Dzhyma and Dmytro Pidruchnyi (Ukraine), Anna Gandler and Simon Eder (Austria) as well as Lotte Lie and Florent Claude (Belgium), Baiba Bendika and Andrejs Rastorgujevs (Latvia)

Winner of the World Team Challenge 2024 Karoline Offigstadt Knotten and Sturla Holm Laegreid from Norway took second place with Anna Weidel and Justus Strelow (Germany). Third place went to Franziska Preuß and Philipp Nawrath (Germany)
