Spremberg: The police were called to a hardware store in Lausitz on Sunday afternoon. Unknown people had broken in, opened several containers on the site and had already prepared various goods for removal. Apparently the alarm system went off and prevented her from removing the stolen goods from the premises. Whether something may have been stolen and the exact amount of damage can only be said once the employees have gotten an overview.

Guben: Shock for a resident on Groß Breesener Straße. When he went into the basement around 8 p.m. on Sunday, he met an unknown man who was tampering with a lock. The man fled when he was disturbed during his crime and could not be caught by the officers who were called. A break-in was reported to the police on Monday morning at the enclosure. Here, unknown people broke into a garage and stole, among other things, fireworks and a children’s bicycle. The damage amounts to several thousand euros. A garage was also broken into on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Strasse, where unknown people took tools and a snowboard, among other things. In all cases, the criminal police took over further investigations.

Papproth: On Monday around 5:30 a.m. an AUDI car left the slippery Stradower Strasse and drove into a ditch. The driver himself remained uninjured, but his A8 was a case for the towing service with an estimated damage of 8,000 euros.

BAB 15 near Eichow: The Berlin owners of a MERCEDES van called the police shortly after 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning because their SPRINTER had recently been stolen. Using tracking technology, it was possible to determine that the vehicle was traveling south on the BAB 13. After passing through the Spreewald triangle, the Benz was stopped at the “Eichower Fließ” rest area. A look inside the car left no doubt about the suspicion of theft based on the damage. The 32-year-old driver, who was already known to the police, was temporarily arrested. Since a preliminary drug test gave him positive reactions, a blood sample was ordered at the clinic to secure evidence that would be used in court. The van was seized so that it could be returned to the owner once police measures were completed.
