After more than a month, SC Freiburg is returning to winning ways in the German Bundesliga! On matchday 12, Breisgauer defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1.

Leverkusen bends union

Bayer Leverkusen continues their unbeaten streak in the parallel game. The champions defeated Union Berlin 2-1.

Leverkusen took the lead through Frimpong in the 2nd minute, but Union equalized through Jeong (29th). Schick then scored the winning goal for Leverkusen in the 71st minute.

Leopold Querfeld and captain Christopher Trimmel start for Union, both receive a yellow card and are substituted (85th and 79th minutes respectively).

With the win, Leverkusen moves up to third place (23 points). The Köpenickers are in eleventh place in the table with 16 points.
